I tried three different ways of neater 1x1 ribbing:

Hem: normal knit + Eastern purl

Right sleeve: Eastern knit + normal purl

Left sleeve: Eastern knit + Eastern purl

So far, the last one looks the best, but I still want to see how they are shown once blocked. I don’t mind it at all - it didn’t take a tremendous amount but the result seems better. Of course, I think the most important factor is to keep it in a consistent setting, preferably finishing all ribbing in a knitting session.

Knitlog [2026-06-22 Mon]

Sample Knit #2

Finished the 1x1 ribbing of the body. This time I tried another way to achieve a neater 1x1 by working purls in Eastern way. It worked out beautifully! My observation is the wrong side of ribbing is noticeably neater in this way (compared to my normal ribbing, which has less difference), so I’m considering to also work the knit in the similar manner with the Eastern way. Maybe I’ll give it a try on the cuff?
