Helical Stripe Socks

I used helical knitting technique for the stripe but used my own toe-up sock recipe instead of following the pattern.
I also tried two different heels: in the photo above, the left one is Ysolda’s Deep Shadow Sock Heel and the right is Fish Lip Kiss Heel. From the two I prefer the look of FLK heel and it also fits me better, but for my next toe-up, I wanted to try the regular shadow wrap heel and see how it fits my feet.
The helical knitting is really good for self-striping yarn and I adore the look. It’s a bit tricky to handle the connection after the heel - I will need to think about more next time.
For the first sock I use M1R and M1L for the toe increase. It doesn’t look good to me so I tried the YO increase method for the second one, by YO increase and ktbl in the following round. It’s easier but I don’t like the outcome either. For future reference I might go back to M1R for every toe increase regardless of the direction.
Knitting two socks at a time, in two 9" circular US1 needle and used DPN for toe and heel.
Bind off: used Jeny’s Interlock Bindoff Every Which Way - YouTube and it works like a charm! This is by far one of the most stretchy bind-off I’ve tried for cuff and it doesn’t flare like Jeny’s surprisingly stretchy bind-off, also I found it’s easy to do compare to other fancy bind-off. In short I think I just found my perfect bind-off for toe-up socks!
