Whale socks

  • Done! I have been so busy with other stuff and yarn haul, finally got the chance to finish it off recently. Actually not much left so I did it in two days.

Marpleridge, Pretty Harbour and Tomten

  • I already started another sock project. This is for my mom and she wants mono colour, so I chose a simple rib-like pattern called Marpleridge. However after knitting an inch after the toe I found it looks too… clumsy to my liking and I prefer a more delicate style. So I went back to the pattern library and found another pattern named Pretty Habour. This looks simple yet delicate.
  • About Tomten Jacket, I think the stash yarn I planned to use does not look good for a coat, and my husband said he can wait so I proposed I’ll knit one for myself first and see if he likes it. I’ll probably use Brigg’s & Little Heritage for this project but I may not have the budget this year. We shall see.

Johanne cardigan

  • Finally, the time for my cardigan! I was going back and forth with the pattern option for this one - initially I chose No Frills Cardigan, but for some reason I don’t like the cut (and I dislike PetiteKnit’s pictures too, they look awful). It stayed in my queue for quite a while until I picked Field Day Cardigan, which is a classic, relaxed fit cardigan. The only problem is that I want to use up this French sourced yarn but Field Day won’t consume that much. And few days ago I finally find Johanne cardigan, it is a long cardigan that looks like No Frills but doesn’t have the raglan increase, which I figured is why I dislike. My gauge is a bit off, with appx. 22 sts/4 on US6, but I can go with a slightly bigger size, so not a problem.
