Antiquity Blouse

  • I have to size up the needle after knitting the gauge. This is the first time the pattern calls for a gauge that’s looser than me, so I ended up using US 8 instead of US 6.

  • Finished the first lace repeat. The pattern writing is a bit ambiguous because it didn’t mention to join in the round. Also, there’s a section named “Back” so I initially thought it’s working back and forth in flat. Anyways, I had to read it through in order to understand the structure.

  • When knitting the body I changed few ways to hold the yarn. My usual way of holding yarn is simply weaving through fingers once or twice, but this makes shifting location of the right hand somewhat awkward. Finally I chose a holding position where I used my entire hand wind the yarn once and then use my index finger to pick up and hold.
