Project Stash No.2 Bra Top
- The top is finally dried. I’ll take some pictures tomorrow.
Sol Top
- Finished the left front and started the left back.
- I decided to redo the left front when I almost finished it because I’m unhappy with the row-out issue, which happened because I tried different ways to tension my yarn for purl stitches with flicking.
- My previous way of holding yarn works fine until I practice purl. I wrap the yarn by just putting the yarn between middle and ring finger. It’s a bit loose so I can knit quickly, but this makes purl st way too loose and cause the row-out.
- Watched few videos yesterday and chose a new way to tension my yarn with flicking, by wrapping the yarn on both little finger and index finger, similar to this video. I also rotate the needle via the pivot point when purling.
- I noticed that for flicking, there seems to be two different style of tension the yarn. The first one is similar to VeryPink Knits, who holds the yarn quite distant from the needle. Their holding position on the right needle is usually low which act as the pivot point. The second style is like mine and the video above. The distance between the yarn and needle is very short.
SisLove Shawl
- Finished row 4-7.
- Took me a while to get familiar with puff st - I recalled I did this before but forgot.
- Want to know the differences between FPDC vs FPHDC. The youtube videos look the same as it did not show the back position. Very annoying. My guess is that the FPHDC is worked on the little V of the FP.
- Learning how to count the crochet sts. I think I’m getting hang of it but always a bit unsure.
