Charade Shorties - Fog Ver. & Decathlon - Navy Ver.
November 11, 2025

These two socks are the holiday gifts for my mom and dad. It took some time for me to find the right patterns and measure the size, but other than that, nothing complicated and both were finished quickly in DPN.

This is a gift for my mom. She has smaller feet so I CO 60 sts instead of 64. I believe I used a sock calculate to tweak the heel number but couldn’t remember the exact. Everything else is knitted as per the pattern.
For gift socks, the main challenge is to figure out the size. I refer to the sizing chart in book Custom Socks: Knit to Fit Your Feet. I continue the pattern until the length measures 16cm from the heel, and start toe so that the final length is appx. 20.5cm.

This is a gift for my dad. I think I knitted a XL size. Too bad that I forgot to take a nice picture - the one I have was taken in a rush after he received it.
