Planning
Very excited to use the yarn I bought from Tokyo. Initially I wanted to knit with the Prym ergonomics needles purchased at the same store but I don’t like how the cable feels, so I ended up using my beloved Chiaogoo - time to give up trying new needles :).
Decided to size 2 for an oversized fit. My gauge was a bit smaller than the pattern when I use GENMOU as MC, after knitting few inches of back yoke I thought it needs to be thickened to be more prominent, so I went to my LYS and bought a matching mohair and held two strands together as MC.

Modifications
Cast on
Use provisional cast on because I don’t want to think about the stitch count when picking up later. This time I used Suzanne Bryan’s Crochet Provisional Cast On and it works like wonders. The only difference I did was I unravel the crochet chain and insert a barber cord so that I don’t have the dangling CO yarn and also I can immediately pick up the live stitches when needed.
Left front
No mods on this part but I felt the starting stitch of Pattern Repeat is off 1 stitch? I didn’t attempt to fix it though as the off-stitch part is at underarm and doesn’t really matter to me.
Button band
- Pick up a total of 208 sts (104 sts each side) plus 33 sts remaining sts on the back yoke for the button band.
- Knit 8 rows instead of 10 rows for the button band to match the width of other ribbed edge.
- I used Roxanne’s tutorial to sew buttons and create shank.
