Pattern and Modifications
Body
- Rnd1: ch 10, 3 sc, ch 3, skip 3, 3 sc
- Rnd2: inc, 7 sc, 3 inc, 7 sc, 2 inc (26 sts)
- Rnd3: inc, 9 sc, inc, 2 sc, inc, 9 sc, inc, 2 sc (30 sts)
- (Mods) Rnd4: inc, 11 sc, inc, 2 sc, inc, 11 sc, inc, 2 sc (34 sts)
- Then plain sc through the round. Repeat until it reaches desired length (4.5cm for AirPod gen 1; mine is the new AirPods so I stopped it when appx. 2.5cm)
- Last row: slip all st
Lid
- Rnd1: ch 10, 9 sc
- Rnd 2 & 3: repeat like the body
- (Mods) Rnd 4: increase another 2 (or 4?) sts
- After: sc all sts until 2cm
Leaves
- R1: 5 sc in magic loop. Leave a long tail for the stem.
- R2: 2 sc in every sts, sl st to close round (10 sts)
- R3: ch 5, sl in the 2nd ch, sc in the next ch, hdc, sl. Repeat until you have 8 leaves. Bind off.
- Using the CO long tail, knit an i-cord for the stem.
- Sew the leaves to top of strawberry, weave in ends.
Finishing
Use white yarn, sew in few random dots to imitate achenes on strawberry.
